A ps to yesterday’s blog…

 I forgot to mention another incredible human experience. Lou left his water bottle and shirt in Miguel’s (the man who tried to convince us to go a “better” way) car. The friendly people at the farm where we got our clean water gave Lou a water bottle. Further down the road up drives Miguel looking for us to deliver Lou’s things. He must have driven up the path (he had a 4 wheel drive) that he thought we might have taken on his advise. . After not finding us he drove miles down the road and finally found us. Way out of his way. Once again we are very humbled and grateful.

  We’re packing for a 500-700 mile long bike pilgrimage from San Sebastián to Santiago Spain, better known as The Camino del Norte.  We will be traveling over a variety of conditions including dirt roads and mountainous terrain.  We must keep our packs under 20 lbs. Day 11 Llanes to La Isla Sunday, June 15

Easy Day Along The Coast Short ride today, only 29 miles mostly along the coast. Short blog today. Cathy is going to post some highlights. Photos aren’t loading secondary to poor connections. Will try again when we have better WiFi (wee fee in España) Love that early morning pre ride cafe con leche! Met a new friend today…Ann, who started her Camino in  Belgium.  Laundry day at the albergue.  Pilgrams dinner. So fun to sit and converse with people from Japan, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, and France. All at one table!
